Nose tackle Jay Ratliff has met with the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears.

Ratliff was released by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month with a failed physical tag due to a lingering hamstring injury.

The Miami Dolphins are also interested in Ratliff.

The Baltimore Ravens have released Michael Huff and Marcus Spears.

Huff and Spears were offseason signings by Ozzie Newsome to fill holes in their defense.

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to sign Everette Brown.

Brown was a 2009 second round pick out of Florida State by the Carolina Panthers.

Brown was with the San Diego Chargers in 2011, was cut by the Detroit Lions in 2012 and cut in late August by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed Bernard Scott.

Scott fills the Ravens' vacant roster spot that was left after their trade of Bryant McKinnie to the Miami Dolphins.

Scott was released by the Cincinnati Bengals this September after trying to come back from the injury. Cincinnati went with rookie running back Giovani Bernard instead.

The St. Louis Rams called Brett Favre to gauge his interest in returning to the NFL following the season-ending injury to Sam Bradford.

Favre is now a 44-year-old grandfather and hasn't played since December 2010.

One source familiar with the Rams' conversations said that if Favre took them up on their interest, "it could break Twitter."

Favre said he's in football shape, but ruled out a final return to the NFL.

"It's flattering, but you know there's no way I'm going to do that," he said.

Beanie Wells tried out for the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday.

Wells has a history of knee and toe issues.

The Ravens have struggled to establish a running game with Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce.

Jeff Garcia is 43 years old but he believes he could still play in the NFL.

"That fire still burns," Garcia told "NFL AM" on Wednesday. "I'm also realistic, though. I'm 43 years old. Who's gonna want a 40-plus-year-old quarterback to come back and play for them?"

Garcia's wife is a native of Cleveland and told him to call the Browns after Brian Hoyer was lost for the season with a torn ACL.

Garcia last played in 2011 with the Houston Texans.

The Pittsburgh Steelers released Isaac Redman on Monday after the emergence of Le'Veon Bell.

Bell was able to run the ball effectively up the middle and has been the Steelers' best running back since coming off a foot injury.

Redman ran for just 12 yards on 10 carries this season.

The New England Patriots have signed Andre Carter.

Carter is a defensive end that was previously with played with the Patriots.

Carter had 10 sacks and was a Pro Bowl selection in 2011 with the Patriots and then signed with the Oakland Raiders.

The St. Louis Rams will not pursue Vince Young or Tim Tebow to add depth at quarterback following the season-ending injury to Sam Bradford.

Jeff Fisher coached Young during their time together with the Tennessee Titans.

Young was with the Green Bay Packers in training camp before being released, while Tebow was with the New England Patriots.
